Council currently has the services of Stuart Johansson, who is based at the Wagin Recreation Centre.

His current job involves the running of the centre and co-ordinating events based at the centre. These range from a number of sporting activities with some being seasonal while others are year round programs.

Sports that are conducted at the centre include Netball for juniors and Seniors, indoor Soccer for both seniors and juniors, Badminton with the possibility of future events such as Floor Ball, Indoor Hockey and Self Defence.

In addition to running the centre, Stuart is involved with the local school with their school sporting programs and organising events at the local Aquatic Centre, Stuart will be available to local sporting clubs to assist in the future planning, grant fund assessing, organising events, etc.

The main objective for Stuart is to help the local community to become more aware of the opportunities that are currently available to be active or involved in a sport.
