Chemical Drum Disposal Day

Council receives chemical drums at its refuse site on behalf of DrumMuster. Residents are required to triple rinsed their chemical drums in accordance with the guidelines issued by DrumMuster.

Litter Control

Litter is unsightly and detracts from the image of our Shire. Littering is an offence and incurs large penalties for offences such as transporting an inadequately secured load, dumping of litter and allowing litter to escape from a vehicle.

Refuse Disposal Site

Council operates a landfill disposal site situated 3 kms outside of town on the Katanning Road. The lighting of unauthorised fires at the Wagin Refuse Site is strictly prohibited. Commencing on 1st January 2008 the Wagin Refuse Disposal Facility will be open as follows:

Refuse Disposal Site Open Hours
