Home & Community Care Program

The Wagin Home and Community Care programme is jointly funded by the State and Commonwealth Governments through the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing and is administered by the Shire of Wagin. HACC covers the Shires of Wagin and West Arthur.

Our target groups for home support services are for the frail aged and younger people with disabilities and their carers. The aim of the program is to help consumers and carers to remain living independently in their own homes and the community.

The services provided are:

Aged Service Details
Home Help Cleaning, washing,ironing, shopping, bill paying
Home Maintenance Gardening - lawn mowing, edging, small maintenance jobs eg, changing of light globes, replacing tap washers.
Local Transport For medical appointments.
Personal Care Showering, shaving & grooming
Respite Gives carers of the elderly or disabled a break.
Fees Fees will be assessed according to income level.
Centre Based Day Care  Attending group activities.
Social Support  In home, assisting with paperwork. taking client shopping, banking or to attend an appointment
Meals on Wheels Prepared and delivered to clients home for mid day meal.

Services are available regardless of cultural background, marital status or financial circumstances.
