Wagin Ram "Bart"

One of the Town’s major attractions, "Bart" was built locally in 1985. Thousands of tourists visit the ram annually which is located in the Wetlands Park.

Westjets are a regular visitor to Wagin's airstrip and visitors are welcome to attend.

Wagin is a substantial family friendly town with excellent educational, medical, recreational and shopping amenities. The town is proud of its rich heritage and supports a wide range of community, sporting and community organisations. Attractively situated 225 kilometres from Perth.

Roller/ Plant Operator

The position is responsible for the operation of the Roller and other allocated plant items as well as general labouring duties as required by the Manager of Works. Requirements of the position will vary as the suitable person will be able to undertake road construction and maintenance work. The successful applicant will need to hold a current Driver’s License covering at least the HR class and be experienced with the use of a broad range of plant and equipment utilised in a rural Shire Council.

The position is a full-time position permanent position (76 hours per fortnight), with a probation period of three months with some overtime required.
