To the members of the Community.
We moved to Wagin approximately 10 years ago because we wanted to move to a town where could live in a healthy, safe environment and to be active community members.
I work at Wagin Hospital and volunteer at Care and Share and the Little Gem Theatre – I do enjoy being part of a team and I have a positive outlook in any task that I attempt and in my everyday life.
I have many skills that can be of benefit to our community and would like those skills to the Shire as a Shire Councillor Representative. Also, I am keen to be an active participant of our Local Shire Council and to be a spokesperson for the members of our community as I believe people in our community should be given the opportunity to participate in their local government decision-making.

Candidate profile
My name is Bryan Kilpatrick, and together with my wife Jane, I run a farming business west of Wagin. We have been farming in the district since 2004 and am proud to have raised our two children, Hugh and Edwina, here.
I have served on the Wagin Council for the past eight years (two terms), including the last two years as Deputy President. During this time, I have worked to represent the interests of our community, contribute to sound decision-making, and support the President when required.
I value the opportunity to be part of Council and believe I bring a practical, community-minded perspective shaped by my experience in farming and life. My only agenda is to see Wagin continue to be a place of choice – for families, business sand industry.
I can be contacted on 0404082460 should you wish to discuss further.
Kind regards
Bryan Kilpatrick

I am an experienced Councillor and renominating for a further term.
Agriculture has been my occupation on a family farm.
Having lived in the district all my life I have appreciated the effect volunteers and sporting bodies contribute to our community and believe in supporting these.
With the involvement over the years in regional bodies I can be of value to the Council with the networks developed.
The Blackwood Catchment management body and the Regional Partnership Group as well as being a Regional Road Group delegate for some years are some of those organisations.
Council needs a blend of experienced and newer Councillors with a range of skill and life experiences.
The Shire needs to be taking advantage of the projects in our region by developing more industrial land along with seeking funding for headworks to allow more housing to be available.
