Rules of Stay and Frequently Asked Questions

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following information is provided to help you have the most relaxed and enjoyable stay possible.

SHIRE OFFICE HOURS:  The  Sportsground RV Area  unmanned.

Shire Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am  – 4:30pm (excluding public holidays and between Christmas and New Years Day). The office is located at 2 Arthur Road, Wagin. Ph:9861 1177.

AFTER HOURS: To make and pay for a booking please visit our dedicated booking page hereAll information will be provided upon payment.

For urgent after hours issues, call 0419 611 057.

In an emergency, call 000.

SITES: Please leave you site clear of litter on departure.

PETS: Any pets must be kept confined on a leash, and you must pick up after your pet for the duration of the stay.

NOISE: All guests are to use the facilities in a quiet and cooperative manner, recognising the limited services available and respecting others staying at the parks.

CHILDREN: Parents are responsible for controlling and supervising the behaviour of their children for their own safety and the comfort of others. Park patrons use these facilities at their own risk, no responsibility will be taken by the park management for any loss or damage to persons, property or equipment.

TOURIST INFORMATION: Available at the Shire Office. Please feel free to come in and ask about the great things to see around Wagin.

WALK TO TOWN: Wagin townsite is a 20 minute walk from both the caravan park and Sportsground RV area.

WAGIN SPORTSGROUND RV AREA

MAXIMUM STAY: Recreational vehicles may use these areas for 120 hours (five days) only.

TENT PEGS: Tent pegs are not allowed (to protect reticulation and other underground pipes)

SELF CONTAINED: A recreational vehicle using this area must be fitted with an operable integrated black water waste system with a holding tank within the RV. The RV must also have a grey water waste system fitted with the system being capable of capturing grey water without it being deposited on the ground.

WASTE WATER: Grey water captured must be disposed of off-site or at the RV dump point onsite (located at just off Kitchener Street in the Wagin Sportsground).

CARAVAN CLUBS: Any caravan club, group, association or organisation wishing to make use of the RV area needs to make direct contact with the Shire of Wagin to gain approval for their stay.

ANNEXES: Annexes that do not require fixing to the ground, and that form part of the RV, are permitted. Erecting a fixed annex is not permitted where poles or other means are used to fix an annex to the ground, a tree or other fixed point (to protect reticulation and other underground pipes).

CLOTHES LINES: Clothes lines external to an RV are not permitted.

RUBBISH: Rubbish bins are not provided and all rubbish is to be removed by RV users.

FIRES: No camp or open fires unless a burning permit is issued from the Shire Office.
