One of the Town’s major attractions, "Bart" was built locally in 1985. Thousands of tourists visit the ram annually which is located in the Wetlands Park.
Puntapin Rock is approx. 5 minutes drive south/east of Wagin and is well worth the short drive and the climb to see the fabulous 360 degree views.
The largest Anatomically correct man made Merino Ram in the known Universe.
Westjets are a regular visitor to Wagin's airstrip and visitors are welcome to attend.

The Shire of Wagin has released its draft Strategic Community Plan 2026–2036, which sets out a vision for the next ten years focused on cultivating prosperity, wellbeing and strong community connections. The plan recognises Wagin’s agricultural foundations while looking ahead to growth, an ageing population and new opportunities. It focuses on strengthening agriculture and support industries, improving liveability, and helping people age well in place through quality services, infrastructure and community facilities. We invite residents, businesses and stakeholders to review the draft plan and share their feedback by 17 June 2026.
