One of the Town’s major attractions, "Bart" was built locally in 1985. Thousands of tourists visit the ram annually which is located in the Wetlands Park.
Puntapin Rock is approx. 5 minutes drive south/east of Wagin and is well worth the short drive and the climb to see the fabulous 360 degree views.
The largest Anatomically correct man made Merino Ram in the known Universe.
Westjets are a regular visitor to Wagin's airstrip and visitors are welcome to attend.

At the 22 July 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting, the Shire of Wagin resolved in accordance with section 3.16 of the Local Government Act 1995 to give notice of the statutory review of the following Shire of Wagin local laws required by and in accordance with section 3.16 of the Local Government Act 1995:

Copies of the local laws are available on the Shire's website and office at 2 Arthur Rd Wagin. Comments on the local laws can be provided to shire@wagin.wa.gov.au by the closing date of Thursday, 11 September 2025. Comments received will be presented to Council in accordance with the Act.
