One of the Town’s major attractions, "Bart" was built locally in 1985. Thousands of tourists visit the ram annually which is located in the Wetlands Park.
Puntapin Rock is approx. 5 minutes drive south/east of Wagin and is well worth the short drive and the climb to see the fabulous 360 degree views.
The largest Anatomically correct man made Merino Ram in the known Universe.
Westjets are a regular visitor to Wagin's airstrip and visitors are welcome to attend.

CAN WAGIN WIN THE MELBOURNE CUP?
The 2022 Lexus Melbourne Cup visited Wagin in August thanks to spirited lobbying from the shire's community development staff. The visiting team for the Victorian Racing Club visited the school, the historical village and hosted an evening event where locals could have happy snaps with THE Cup. This was a lot of fun and an education about the Cup and what it takes to win it. As one of just 24 communities to host the Cup on this national tour, Wagin is also allocated a horse in the event via the barrier draw - and if that horse wins, so does our community, with $50,000 going to support the volunteer St John Ambulance sub-centre. look for the horse running from barrier 4 because that's us!
